# HotelRefund > Free hotel price tracker. Pick a city, hotel and dates — we check the Agoda rate several times a day, keep the full price history on a public page, and can optionally email you when the price changes. No account needed. HotelRefund helps travelers who already booked (or are about to book) catch price drops: rebook a refundable reservation cheaper before the cancellation deadline, or simply see whether a rate is trending up or down before committing. ## Core facts - Completely free; no signup or account. Email is optional (price-change alerts, one-click unsubscribe). - Prices come from Agoda's public rates for the exact stay (hotel, dates, guests) the user selected. - Price basis: every tracked price is Agoda's total for the whole stay with taxes and fees included, for 2 adults, at the standard rate Agoda returns to partners (verified to match Agoda's free-cancellation rate). Coupons, member or app-only discounts and non-refundable rates are not included — Agoda's own pages often show prices before tax, so compare with the tax-inclusive total at checkout. - Every price check is recorded; history, sparklines and stats are public for anyone to view. - Each tracked hotel has a printable price-history report (https://hotelrefund.net/track/report?id=N) with every timestamped observation, plus CSV download — usable as evidence for Best Price Guarantee claims, refund requests and check-in negotiation. - Prices are displayed in the visitor's own currency (converted with daily FX rates; original currency always shown). - "Today's deals" shows the biggest discounts by destination vs Agoda's listed rate, refreshed daily. - Monthly email digest (optional subscription): biggest tracked drops + deals for the subscriber's chosen city. - We never fabricate prices or history — only observed data is shown. - Affiliate disclosure: booking links may earn us a commission; the price users pay is unchanged. ## Key pages - Tracker (start tracking a hotel): https://hotelrefund.net/track - Today's deals (server-rendered HTML — biggest observed discount per city, real Agoda rates, refreshed daily): https://hotelrefund.net/deals - Deals for one city (every discount we found there, up to 6, refreshed about twice a day): https://hotelrefund.net/deals/{city-slug} — e.g. /deals/tokyo, /deals/bangkok, /deals/seoul. Register a hotel and stay dates once; the Agoda price is then checked several times a day and every observation is kept, so an agent can ask days later what changed — with timestamps as evidence. - Tools: track_hotel_price (creates the tracking), get_price_history (timing read with headline + summary sentences in en/ko/ja/zh, plus a seasonality block: the destination's forecast monthly rates for the hotel's star band), get_hotel_price_calendar (Agoda's rate for each check-in date of one hotel — a snapshot per date, not a time series), list_tracked_hotels, list_hotel_deals, get_refund_guide, get_service_status. After booking: get_current_price (Agoda's price for a stay right now, cached 30 minutes), check_refund_claim (does a lower price found elsewhere qualify for the booking site's best price guarantee, and by when — the Refund Report's rules) and draft_refund_request (claim message and letter, or a date change, goodwill refund or check-in request to the hotel, in en/ko/ja/zh; names and booking numbers are left as placeholders and never sent). search_hotels only resolves a hotel name to the agoda_hotel_id that track_hotel_price needs; it returns no prices. Pass language (en/ko/ja/zh) to get track_page_url in the user's language — the same page exists at /track/{id}, /ko/track/{id}, /ja/track/{id}, /zh/track/{id}. - One-click connect in Claude: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=HotelRefund%20Price%20Tracker&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fhotelrefund.net%2Fmcp - Server card (machine-readable): https://hotelrefund.net/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json (also at /.well-known/mcp.json) - Claude Code: run `claude mcp add --transport http hotelrefund https://hotelrefund.net/mcp` - ChatGPT (developer mode), Cursor and any MCP client: add the server URL above as a custom connector. ## Open data (no key, no auth) Every price we have ever observed is public and machine-readable. These are the raw observations behind each tracking page — not estimates or model output. - Price history, JSON: https://hotelrefund.net/api/track/{id} → hotel, stay dates, currency, stats, and `observations: [{observed_at, price, currency}]` - Price history, CSV: https://hotelrefund.net/api/track/{id}.csv - Public list of trackings: https://hotelrefund.net/api/track/list - Today's biggest observed discounts by city: https://hotelrefund.net/api/deals - Each /track/{id} page carries schema.org Dataset markup whose `distribution` points at the two URLs above, so a crawler can find the data file from the page alone. - Licence: https://hotelrefund.net/terms — attribution to hotelrefund.net appreciated.
